Understanding how the body works and what can disrupt normal function it is wise to make sure of proper alignment of the spine. These are bones responsible for allowing proper neurologic flow so it makes since to keep them in proper functioning order/alignment, no mater the age.
Low back /hip pain is something that comes with pregnancy. The body transforms into a Cargo carrier that creates extra stress on the low back. Keeping your back aligned is one of the best ways to manage the tension and pain in the low back and hips. This is also a healthy alternative for the baby so that you don't have to take pain medication. Keeping the pelvis in proper alignment also helps of a better delivery.
The baby has now found itself either dragged ,twisted, torqued through a canal or opening (which is important to jump start some functioning systems) but typically involves a doctors hands around the new borns head and neck for gripping purposes. The amount of torque force used during a "typical " delivery has been reported to average 65-80 lbs. This can lead to small 'mis-alignments' to the spine. Therefore should be checked properly by a pediatric chiropractor.
Moving forward baby is starting to walk, run and Fall. Practice which is repeated over and over than can start to have an impact on proper alignment of the spine. The earlier these mis -alignments are detected the better chance of a healthier life.
